How long does the registration process take?

Processing of an entry in the Land Register by the District Court may take between a few weeks and several months. In the case of a legal dispute it may theoretically even take several years for the entry to be made (e.g. in the case of inheritance disputes).

The documents required for an entry to be made in the Land Register are usually prepared by a notary. First of all, however, the notary will need all necessary certified documents and must verify the authenticity of the signatures. Only after all prerequisites are fulfilled may the Land Register entry be made.
