What is a cadastral area (KG)?

Cadastral areas (KG) are those parts of the surface of the earth which are defined as such in the cadastre.

Usually, political communities/municipalities include one or more cadastral areas.

In order to clearly identify every cadastral area, it is given a name and a number, e.g. cadastral area of Schwechat 05220.
